FACULTY - LEUKODYSTROPHY
Center for Gene Therapy, University of Utah School of Medicine
The Center for Gene Therapy, Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking physicians and scientists with an interest in leukodystrophy genetic therapies to join a thriving academic/clinical team. The commitment and specific duties will depend on the individual’s career goals and funding activities.
The successful candidate should have interests or expertise in genetic therapy research related to leukodystrophies, including bench, translational, and clinical trial efforts. An established publication record is essential, and evidence of ability to obtain extramural funding is important. Protected research time for the initial appointment will be part of the recruitment. Clinical activities will take place primarily at Primary Children’s Hospital and the University of Utah.
Qualified clinical candidates must be Board Qualified/Board Certified in their specialty; or have relevant post-doctoral experience. The selected candidate will have the option to receive a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine on the Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
