Emory University Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine

Academic Anatomic Pathologist

Emory University’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure track academic anatomic pathologist to join an interactive, collegial group of anatomic pathologists at Grady Memorial Hospital.  This renowned public academic hospital serves Atlanta and its surrounding communities. Grady’s anatomic pathology division handles approximately 14,000 surgical pathology specimens, 3,200 non-GYN specimens and 75 autopsies annually. The Georgia Cancer Center at Grady Hospital is certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Emory University has one of the largest AP/CP residencies in the country and close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Center, creating abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching (see www.pathology.emory.edu).

The successful candidate will be board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and also be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. The position requires general surgical pathology skills, but candidates with subspecialty training/expertise, including expertise in gastrointestinal pathology, genitourinary pathology and cytopathology, are encouraged to apply. The 2026 J-1 waiver option is available. Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

In addition to completing the online application by clicking “Apply Now”, please submit CV and a list of references, to Dr. Alyssa Krasinskas, in care of Marcie Ansari at marcie.m.ansari@emory.edu.
