The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis seeks a dynamic leader to serve as the Director of Molecular Pathology at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, in the Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series.

This position reports to the Director of Clinical Pathology and will enhance the department’s Molecular Pathology Division and laboratory testing.

Responsibilities will include: medical, technical, and scientific directorship of division staff and laboratory personnel in collaboration with the Department Chair, with the expectations of supervising molecular laboratory operations, participating in test reporting and new test development, and contributing to quality assurance and accreditation activities.

Participation in the institution's research mission is expected. Additional academic responsibilities include teaching housestaff and medical students.

Applicants must possess an MD, MD-equivalent, PhD or MD/PhD degree, with board certification/eligibility in Pathology, and certification/eligibility in Molecular Pathology (or comparable board) and be eligible for licensure in California. All candidates must be US Citizens, permanent residents or hold an employment visa. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, with a salary range for this position of $157,500 - $409,700.
