Cognitive/Behavioral Neurologist Opportunity
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a board certified/board eligible cognitive/behavioral neurologist to lead and establish a cutting-edge institute for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Under the direction of Dr. Shilpa Chitnis, Chief of Neurology, this position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of dementia care through clinical practice, research and education.
Qualifications:
• MD or DO
• Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology
• UCNS Board Certified/Board Eligible in Behavioral Neurology
• Eligible for a Texas Medical License
Position Highlights:
• Leadership: Lead a team of experts, including behavioral neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, neuropsychologists, geriatricians, social workers, educational coordinators, genetic counselors, and research staff, providing comprehensive care to patients in our state-of- the-art memory disorders clinic.
• Education and Teaching: Mentor medical students, neurology residents, and future fellows in behavioral neurology, neuropsychiatry, and geriatric neurology.
• Innovative Research: Engage in groundbreaking clinical trials and investigator-initiated research.
• Patient-Centered Approach: Provide multidisciplinary care under one umbrella, from diagnosis to long-term treatment plans, with an educational coordinator dedicated to guiding patients and their families through their journey.
