Fellowship Description —

Fellows will be trained in all aspects of hip surgery, including hip preservation and arthroplasty surgery. Fellows gain a unique foundation in surgical management of labral tears, FAI, dysplasia, microinstability, acute muscle tears, sports injuries, avascular necrosis, osteoarthritis, and revision arthroplasty. Fellows with academic interests benefit from the strong research program. The fellowship is ideally suited for trainees graduating from a sports medicine or reconstruction fellowship who wish to obtain subspecialty training to define themselves as experts in the field of hip surgery. However, application is also open to exceptional graduating orthopedic surgery residents. Salary up to $80k annually plus benefits.

— Comprehensive Surgical Skills Training —

• Hip arthroscopy advanced techniques

• Complex labral repair & reconstruction

• 3D planning and correction of FAI

• Osteochondral management (microfracture, subchondroplasty, osteoarticular allograft)

• Iliopsoas fractional lengthening after THA

• Endoscopic & open repair of gluteus medius, adductor & hamstring tears

• Peri-acetabular osteotomy

• Birmingham hip resurfacing

• Total hip arthroplasty (direct anterior & posterolateral approaches)

• Robotic hip arthroplasty
