ABOUT THE POSITION
The Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterologist with Inflammatory Bowel Disease Focus to join a division engaged in diverse clinical and academic practice, and research including multiple NIH grants, and 2 NIH Center grants.
Appointment will be at the rank of assistant of associate level, depending on qualifications and experience.
Candidates must have completed ACGME accredited fellowship in gastroenterology.
Position Responsibilities
Teaching
Teaching responsibilities may include participation in clinical diagnosis, lectures to medical students, and extramural programs such as continuing medical education lectures at area hospitals.
Service
Will interact with division chief and faculty for the development and implementation of plans for growth in the field.
Clinical
Clinical practice includes hospital rotations, inpatient and outpatient endoscopy, and office based patient care. The primary clinical focus of this position will be on inflammatory bowel disease and will play a pivotal role in the division's expanding clinical trials program.
