Summary
Surgical Advanced Provider Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant provides specialty care and chronic and acute care health care services to patients throughout their lifespan. The Surgical Advanced Providers support the Concord Surgical Associates/Trauma and Acute Care Surgical Service (TACSS) on call. You will also be responsible for taking first call, rounding in the ICU and inpatient floors, first call for consults and in the ED, and trauma activations. Functions in a specialty practice of the Concord Hospital Medical Group (CHMG) settings may include office, community outreach, and inpatient. Patient care is provided in collaboration with a CHMG physician.
Education
Five to six years of formal training or education beyond the high school level (e.g., Masters Degree or five-year
program).
Certification, Registration and Licensure
Licensure required: NH license as APRN or PA and current DEA license.
Experience
Based on the practice setting, prior specialty and/or site-specific experience may be required. New graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities
- Obtains patient health history and performs physical examination.
- Diagnoses acute and chronic medical problems within the scope of practice.
- Provides specialty care, acute and chronic management, and patient education according to practice
standards. - Develop expertise and practice standards specific to specialty programs.
- Prescribes and manages medications within the practice standards.
- Meets productivity standard of the practice/department.
- Documents care provided in the medical record according to practice/department standards.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
