The Division of Gastroenterology & Nutrition in the Department of Medicine at the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking several full-time academic GI clinician/educators at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor faculty rank, (Tenure or Non-Tenure track options). These positions enhance our missions in both patient care and teaching. Successful candidates will provide and contribute to the delivery of excellent general gastroenterology Inpatient/Outpatient consultations and Inpatient/Outpatient endoscopy services at our University Health System Main Hospital, Multispecialty and Research Hospital and our ambulatory surgical centers.

The division comprises of talented faculty, mid-level providers and a large (13 GI fellows, 1 Advanced Endoscopy Fellow) trainees program. These positions provide the opportunity for both independent practice and the teaching of Gastroenterology Fellows in multiple clinical settings.

Successful candidates have the opportunity to mentor a variety of learners in clinical research and scholarly pursuits.

Successful candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, licensed in the state of Texas by the appointment start date.
