Position # 93256
The Department of Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center is recruiting for a clinical research faculty member, with sub-specialty in melanoma and breast cancer surgery, for an appointment as an assistant professor. The applicant is expected to be fellowship trained in surgical oncology and breast surgical oncology, with particular experience in the care of patients with melanoma and other rare forms of skin cancer.
Responsibilities will include clinical care, teaching, and research. The successful candidate is expected to lead a multidisciplinary clinical and research program focusing on mucosal melanoma and other rare malignancies, in additional to leading clinical trials and outcomes research, focused on the melanoma surgery in the immunotherapy era. Applicants should hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Texas and must possess an M.D. This position has a target base salary of $349,749 to $419,998 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
