The Cleveland Clinic announces its search for Chair of the Department of Urology in the Integrated Surgical Institute. The department is recognized as one of the premier Urology departments in the country. It is a department at the forefront of technological advances and innovation. The internationally recognized faculty have pioneered laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques and developed innovative procedures for urologic cancers and transplantation. It is also a top-rated Urology residency program and trains an additional 15 fellows in subspecialty and 10 fellows in research.

The Department has over 75 Physicians and spans the globe including NE Ohio, Florida, London, and Abu Dhabi. Department treats patients in all urological subspecialties at 30+ locations within greater Cleveland. In 2023, more than 229,000 office visits, 10,000 virtual visits and over 16,000 surgical cases were completed. Patients came to us from every state in the United States and more than 39 countries.

The ideal Chair candidate should be a recognized leader and an outstanding clinician, educator, innovator and scholar, who supports research and education within a multi-specialty organization. The Chair will have responsibility for the clinical, educational, research, and fiscal oversight within the Department. Reporting to the Chief of the Institute, the Chair oversees establishing and ensuring Safety, Quality & Patient Experience standards for Urology across the enterprise. They shall collaborate with Institute, market, and shared services leaders to define and achieve the vision and strategic goals of Cleveland Clinic. The Chair must ensure delivery of world class patient care across the enterprise and provide a safe and engaging work environment for all caregivers within the Department. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
