Advanced Practice Provider - Urogynecology
Job Description
Inova Health System is seeking a Urogyn Advance Practice Provider to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia!
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE clinical position that requires development of multidisciplinary urogynecology clinical programs and integrate them with the educational and research initiatives of the department.
Position Details:
Create a clinical platform to be employed for further research and education. Champion clinical efforts to provide improved quality, safety and affordability for activities related to Urogynecology. Grow niche Urogynecologic services which include the Perineal Clinic, Pelvic pain program, the Fibroid program, Pelvic floor Ultrasound clinic, and the Vaginal agenesis clinic.
Integrate Inova Medical Group (IMG) Urogynecologic attending’s clinical efforts with Department’s educational training of residents and students as well as with the department’s research initiatives. Participate in Medical Student clerkship instruction, resident supervision and instruction and journal club. Enhance and grow the active research recruitment and the research protocols which will promote and foster extramural research funding. Inova Women’s Services has one of the largest obstetric programs in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area with more than 10,000 births at Inova Women’s Hospital, and a total of more than 20,000 across the entire Inova system. Inova’s Gynecology program ranked 6th among the nation’s best by US News & World Report. We have dedicated operating rooms as well as recovery facilities and have access to the latest clinical trials and state of the art technology

Requirements:
- Education: Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, OR certificate from an education program that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing. For physician Assistants , graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Experience: No experience required. Previous experience in Urogyn or Women's Health is strongly preferred.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
- Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence) AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances)
