POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, University of California, Davis, is recruiting for multiple critical care, obstetric, and neuroanesthesiology Assistant/Associate or Full Professors in the Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series.
As anesthesiologists, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing general, regional, and ambulatory anesthesia in the operating rooms and non-operating room locations of UC Davis Medical Center and may include OB and Women's Services. Responsibilities include patient care, participation in the general or OB call schedule, clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows and service to varying degrees according to rank. A proportion of the clinical duties may involve working as solo faculty. In addition to clinical care, teaching and service, Health Sciences Clinical Professor series faculty engage in scholarly or creative activities which derive from and support their primary responsibilities in clinical teaching, professional and service activities while Clinical X series faculty should have involvement in an extramurally funded research program and a publication list.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- Critical Care Anesthesiology: MD/DO, completion of an ACGME approved anesthesiology residency program and ACGME-approved critical care anesthesiology fellowship program, board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
- Obstetric (OB) Anesthesiology: MD/DO, completion of an ACGME approved anesthesiology residency program and ACGME-approved obstetric anesthesiology fellowship program (candidates with a Non-ACGME accredited fellowship and equivalent experience may be considered), board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) in Anesthesiology
- Neuroanesthesiology: MD/DO, completion of an ACGME approved anesthesiology residency program and neuroanesthesia fellowship or practice equivalent (will consider a minimum of 3 years practice experience), board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) in Anesthesiology
- Ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
- California Medical License by date of hire.
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
- Experience teaching medical students and/or residents and fellows.
