Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, a 411-bed regional tertiary care and ACS-verified Level II trauma center, is seeking an OB/GYN physician leader to guide the evolution of our women’s health service into a comprehensive service line with subspecialty support.

Our multi-disciplinary women’s health team, including nine physicians, two certified nurse midwives, two nurse practitioners and skilled support staff, provides full-spectrum care to all patients.

Our newly redesigned Women & Infants unit includes twenty-five private patient rooms, seven labor and delivery suites, two triage rooms, and two state-of-the-art OB/GYN surgical suites all adjacent to our new state-of-the-art Level III NICU.

The ideal candidate will bring established expertise in high risk obstetrics and comprehensive gynecologic care to patient populations impacted by health care disparities and will leverage prior leadership experience to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration utilizing an inclusive approach to partner with our private practitioners, family medicine residency, midwives and students.

In the vibrant small city of Bangor, you’ll enjoy easy access to lakes, mountains, state parks, and Acadia National Park. Public schools rank among New England’s best. Bangor serves as the regional hub for medicine, commerce and the arts. Bangor International Airport offers direct and one-stop service to most major destinations.
