The Massachusetts General Hospital and the Newton Wellesley Hospital Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery are seeking a full-time board certified Adult Reconstructive Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This full-time Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level appointment affiliated with Harvard Medical School offers a stimulating academic environment, career growth opportunities within the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and competitive salary and benefits. This is an excellent opportunity to actively participate in a renowned Adult Reconstructive Surgery program at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Newton Wellesley Hospital, and to cultivate new practice opportunities in the surrounding community. The Newton-Wellesley Hospital is an academically integrated Mass General Brigham community hospital located ten miles west of Boston. Work breakdown will be on average 4 days at MGH and 1 day at NWH per week.

Interested candidates must have fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction and should have a proven record of commitment to excellence in patient care as well as a strong interest in trainee education, and research. Ideal Candidates should have an interest in revision hip and knee arthroplasty, complex primary hip and knee arthroplasty, proficiency with direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.

Candidates with three – five years’ experience in clinic practice and experience performing arthroplasty cases in a free-standing ambulatory surgery center will be favorable considered. In addition, ongoing experience with registries, translational research, and current resident educational responsibilities are desirable.
