MD Anderson is currently the nation’s #1 ranked cancer center by U.S. News & World Report and is the world’s largest treatment center for oncological diseases. We are seeking a full-time Fellowship Program Director, Hematology and Medical Oncology to oversee all educational and training initiatives for the Division of Cancer Medicine, including Graduate Medical Education (GME) Clinical Programs. The Program Director will also be responsible for ensuring departmental efforts are aligned with the strategic goals and programs of the Division and the institution, while providing mentorship and educational support to fellows and faculty members, as well as maintaining program compliance, patient safety, and trainee well being in accordance with institutional guidelines. The selected individual will be expected to have 50% educational effort, 40% clinical effort in an ambulatory setting and inpatient service in their designated subspecialty, 5% administrative effort, and 5% research effort. Candidates should have an M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. degree, be board eligible or certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, eligible or licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications. 3+ years of participation as an active core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency, hematology, or medical oncology fellowship is also required.
