Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Florida is offering a Glaucoma fellowship. This well-balanced, robust single-fellow fellowship is accredited by the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology Fellowship Compliance Committee (AUPO FCC). The fellow participates in all aspects of therapy including: medical therapy, laser trabeculoplasty, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and cyclodestructive procedures. You will also develop proficiency in complex cataract surgery in patients with glaucoma, including small pupils, zonular dehiscence, post-trabeculectomy and combined surgeries. You will have the opportunity to conduct and participate in cutting-edge research and the development of novel diagnostic instruments. Qualified applicants mustsuccessfully complete an accredited ophthalmology residency and be eligible for a full unrestricted Florida Medical License. The program does not support J-1 visas.
