PRN Rheumatologist- Fairfax (ICPH)
Job Description
As a PRN Rheumatologist, you will focus on providing and managing direct patient care, including virtual physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment. They will also prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to an assessed medical condition and obtain and utilize knowledge and judgement in referring patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
Other responsibilities include:
• Provides medical guidance to onsite nursing staff and physician-to-physician consultation in inpatient clinic settings.
• Maintains working relationships with onsite medical providers engaged with inpatient care.
• Documents patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment, etc. within the hospital’s EMR.
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Rheumatology experience required.
- Medical Doctor with 3 to 5 years of experience post fellowship training in Rheumatology.
- VA DEA Certification; VA Medical Specialty License of Certification
- Experience navigating EPIC EMR systems, strong technical skills, and experience with secure video conferencing.
- Credentialed by the INOVA Health System as an associate or courtesy member of the medical staff with clinical privileges in internal medicine, to include the care of inpatients.
