University Hospitals / Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is actively seeking an outstanding Academic Vascular Surgery at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join our full-time Vascular Surgery faculty and assume the role of Program Director of the Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency and Independent Fellowship Programs. 


Primary responsibilities include authority and accountability for the Vascular Surgery training programs, including compliance with all applicable program requirements. Furthermore, the position will include teaching of all levels of students and trainees, patient care, and participation in scholarly activities. 




Qualifications of the Program Director include:

  • An MD/DO or equivalent degree A graduate of an ACGME residency or fellowship Specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, or qualifications acceptable to the Review Committee Current board certification in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery or by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, or specialty qualifications that are acceptable to the Review Committee Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment Ongoing clinical activity



As an integral member of the Vascular Center of the UH Harrington Heart and Vascular Center, the successful applicant will be able to collaborate with referring providers to develop a clinical surgical practice at University Hospitals enterprise and take a leading role in education of our vascular surgery trainees. The Vascular Center’s multidisciplinary team is composed of specialty trained academic and community vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, vascular medicine physicians, and nurses. Experience in a leadership position in surgical education such as Associate Program Director, Clerkship Director, or similar is desired, but not required.

The applicant will be eligible for academic appointments at Case Western Reserve University, one of the nation’s premier research universities. Faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve University will commensurate with experience and achievement. Competitive salary and fringe benefits package offered.
