Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for the Chair of the Department of Integrated Hospital Care. A candidate with experience leading in a large integrated healthcare organization is highly desired. The Chair will have responsibility for the clinical, educational, research and financial programs within the department.
A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. We are searching for an accomplished clinician with a strong training pedigree to advance the Department into the future.
The ideal candidate would have the skill set to build upon and strengthen existing clinical and academic programs, developing new service lines, and niche areas of expertise such as translational and clinical research. We are seeking a servant leader with experience in leadership, teaching, administrative skills, mentoring (faculty, fellows, residents and medical students), and program development. An ideal candidate will possess superior communication skills with experience in team and program development. The department is poised to grow both in staff numbers and geographically. Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio is required.
This position is responsible for four key divisions/sections – Neonatology, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Excellent opportunities exist for cooperative program development with our top-ranked adult programs, as well as for basic, clinical, and translational research in the Pediatric Research Center of the Lerner Research Institute. We are seeking a leader with the skills to collaborate across our enterprise as well as nationally. Cleveland Clinic physicians enjoy a collegial work environment within the framework of a large group practice, with a competitive salary enhanced by very attractive benefits. Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital is consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the United States.
