ACADEMIC GENERALISTS at MASS GENERAL
The Specialist Division of Obstetrics and Benign Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital seeks board-eligible or board-certified physician(s) to work full-time in the Department. Those hired will also have an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School appropriate with experience as instructor, assistant, or associate professor. We seek individuals who will actively contribute to our core values of diversity, openness, collaborative practice, and clinical and academic excellence. All providers who share those commitments, especially those from groups under-represented in medicine, are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with additional training in family planning and/or in developing innovative models for post-partum care.
Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology strives to deliver world class care with a personal touch to a multi-cultural patient population. As a member of this division, physicians will provide care on labor and delivery that includes supervision of residents and medical students as well as consultation to midwives. The outpatient obstetrics and gynecology practice include rendering care in community health centers and private offices as well as supervision of residents in the benign gynecology clinic. We are seeking enthusiastic, personable and astute clinicians who are interested in teaching. Collegial relationships within the department and greater hospital system will be essential to success within our busy tertiary care system.
