Assistant or Associate Professor, Term Tenure Track
The Department of Anatomic Pathology at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is recruiting a Pathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with diagnostic expertise and research interest in Dermatopathology.
Board certification in Anatomic Pathology with special qualifications in/or eligibility in Dermatopathology is a requirement, as is an active Texas medical license or eligibility. The candidate’s major responsibility will be Dermatopathology diagnostic service (shared with seven other dermatopathologists) which currently accessions more than 12,000 specimens per year. The candidate will be expected to conduct or participate in innovative dermatopathology research. The ability to compete for extramural funding and a track record of successful independent research, including the supervision of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and other trainees is required. Fellowship training in diagnostic molecular pathology will be considered an asset. Startup funds and laboratory space will be provided to qualified candidates.
