The Department of Neurosurgery and the Center for Translational Neural Prosthetics & Interfaces at Houston Methodist Hospital is hiring an academic Functional and Stereotactic surgeon with significant interest to lead the field. This position is for both clinical and research.

The Department of Neurosurgery is a world class program with a team of experienced neurosurgeons using the most advanced surgical equipment and techniques available to achieve outstanding outcomes in the treatment of cranial, spinal and peripheral nerve disorders. The Department is housed in the recently opened Paula and Joseph C. “Rusty” Walter III Tower, a 22-story, $700 million patient tower housing new beds and state-of-the-art technology to better serve the community and the institution’s growing patient population. The surgeon will have access to the Houston Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation & Education (MITIESM), a world class innovative virtual hospital and hands-on clinical training facility for health care professionals seeking to maintain excellent procedural skills and acquire new proficiencies and run courses.
