A key component of this position is serving as the liaison between NHLBI and Medstar for this ongoing research collaboration.
The Cardiovascular Branch of the NHLBI conducts research on diseases that affect the heart, blood, blood vessels and lungs with specific projects aimed to answer clinically relevant issues using methods ranging from a molecular level up to and including clinical projects in diagnostics, therapeutics and interventions; and emphasize creation of an environment where scientists and physician scientists can work together on disease specific issues using the most appropriate approaches available in the spectrum between the bench and the bedside.
