Inova Health's Urgent Care is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to support our communities in Northern Virginia. Urgent Care offers Northern Virginia adults and children convenient, expert same-day medical care at all our Urgent Care locations for minor illnesses and injury as well as lab tests and more.

Job Overview
Provides safe and effective care to ambulatory patients under the supervision of a collaborating physician. Utilizes independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and provision of ongoing care to ambulatory patients that is in accordance with nurse practitioner licensure regulations for the Commonwealth of Virginia and delineated in the written Scope of Practice/Protocol for Nurse Practitioner.
Teamwork/Coordination of Care: Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. Exhibits respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines and uses an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes. Evidence-Based
Practice/Learning: Uses evidence-based standards, guidelines, and protocols to the delivery of patient care. Incorporates new information and approaches, when appropriate, to continuously improve patient care and practice.
Professionalism / Professional Development: Ensures ongoing growth and development of clinical skills and knowledge by assuming responsibility for lifelong learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, also serves as a resource and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills through participation in program development.
Experience
• Minimum 1 year as Nurse Practitioner
Licensure, Education, and Certifications
• State License
• Valid DEA
• Graduate from an accredited program
• Current BLS/ALCS/PALS
• Board Certification or Eligible
