Here is a brief description of ICAR:
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care of outpatient and inpatient populations
- Electrophysiology procedures- pacemaker/ICD placement, Micra pacemaker, ablations-VT, SVT, A-Fib, A-Flutter, Watchman
- Cardiac catheterization procedures- left and right heart caths, heart biopsies, ASD/PFO closures, carotid stents
- Interventional Radiology procedures- angiograms, chemoembolization, IVS filter, Mediports, thrombolysis, venograms, G/J tube placements, nephrostomy and biliary tubes
Requirements:
- Prefer 1+ years of experience with cardiac population; 6 months experience required
- Education - Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or equivalent
- Current certification as an Advanced Practice Provider (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) with specialization in cardiology or relevant field
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required and PALS and ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months)
- Licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Advanced Practice Provider
- Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others
- Proficient computer skills required
