The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University seeks an MD/DO/or foreign equivalent, board certified or equivalent Anesthesiologist and eligible for a California license or exemption to join the Department as the Anesthesia Division Chief of Critical Care Medicine at Stanford Health Care.

We are seeking the next Anesthesia Division Chief of Critical Care Medicine, a leading program that draws national and international referrals. The Anesthesia Division Chief will co-lead strategic operational, educational, and scholarly efforts in a multidisciplinary care setting while representing the department across multiple intensive care units. Our educational program attracts some of the future’s brightest intensivists. Case volume and complexity drive high-impact interdisciplinary care and research programs, effectively spanning cutting-edge clinical and basic sciences.

Successful applicants should demonstrate:

◆ A commitment to clinical excellence with leadership experience in critical care medicine

◆ An ability to grow academic programs that advance patient care, drive innovation, and mentor future leaders

◆ A desire to collaborate with neighboring departments and services

Board certification or equivalent in anesthesiology with subspecialty training in critical care medicine is required.
