The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a Full-Time Cardiac Anesthesiologist at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai provides anesthetic care for more than 2,500 cardiothoracic procedure a year. Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1,171-bed tertiary-care facility internationally acclaimed for excellence in clinical care, education and scientific research.
This position is at the Mount Sinai Hospital, located on the Upper East Side of New York city, adjacent to the Icahn School of Medicine. Our volume, quality and complexity make us one of the leading cardiac surgery programs in the world and the top program in New York State.
We are seeking ABA board certified or board eligible anesthesiologists who have completed a fellowship in cardiac Anesthesia to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly qualified, energetic, team orientated and comfortable taking care of very complex patients undergoing a wide variety of operations including heart and lung transplants. This is a full time position.
Position Description:
✦ Staff cardiac operating rooms, EPS procedures and TAVRs
✦ Overnight call is from home
✦ Collaborate with colleagues in cardiac surgery, cardiology and the intensive care unit
✦ Use EPIC as a fully integrated Electronic Health Record
Position Qualifications:
✦ Medical Degree from an Accredited University
✦ New York Medical License
✦ Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
✦ Fellowship trained in cardiac anesthesia and highly proficient in intraoperative TEE
✦ Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
✦ A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
✦ Compensation range from 500K to 600K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
