Pediatric Gastroenterologist -Immunologist in Pancreatic Disorders UML/UTL/NTLR
The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Pediatrics
The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks an immunologist in pancreatic disorders to join the Division as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in the University Tenure Line, University Medical Line, or the Non-Tenure Line (Research). We are particularly interested in candidates who have an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD (or equivalent degree).
* The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching.
* The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
* The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-tenure Line (Research) is evidence of high-level performance as a researcher for whose special knowledge a programmatic need exists.
Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful applicant should have experience in leading projects that characterize the immune landscape, using high end immune profiling, of either pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, diabetes, pancreatic insufficiency, or pancreas development and has a vision to partner with physicians and scientists at Stanford to make breakthroughs in focused areas in this space.

We expect the successful candidate to serve as a member of the Pediatric, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health with responsibilities for research and teaching related to pancreas immunology. S/he will join a highly multidisciplinary group that leads nationally recognized programs in gastroenterology (including pancreatology), hepatology (including liver transplantation), and nutrition. Program at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health has more than doubled within the last half decade and is currently ranked in the top 13 programs nationally by U.S. News and World Report.

Associate Professor: $212k - $236k
Professor: $253k - $280k
UML candidate (with substantial clinical time):
Assistant Professor: $240k - $258k
Associate Professor: $273k - $291k
Professor: $311k - $371k
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
