Faculty/Administrative positions:

The College of Optometry is seeking applicants for tenure track, and non-tenure track, full-time faculty positions with potential administrative responsibilities.  Candidates should have a passion for excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, leadership, and patient care. 

Candidates with interest, experience, and expertise in the following areas are highly desired:

  • Basic and Biomedical Sciences, such as:  Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Body Systems, and Nutrition
  • Clinical and Rehabilitative Sciences, such as:  Advanced Procedures for the Management of Ocular Diseases, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation, Vision Therapy, Sports Vision, and Pediatrics
  • Administrative Responsibilities, such as:  Dual-Degree Programs, International Programs, and Admissions & Enrollment Management

Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and expectations of future accomplishments.  Salary and benefits are competitive.  Requirements include attainment of the Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and licensure to practice in California or the ability to obtain such licensure within 6 months of hire.  OD with additional credentials are strongly preferred, such as:  residency training, LSPE certification, master’s degree, and PhD or other doctoral degree.
