Cardiovascular Medicine Physician Scientist

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, in conjunction with the Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC) at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, seeks a cardiovascular physician scientist, open rank, with an established research program to join its expanding Cardiovascular division and the CVRC. This exciting position includes an ample start-up package and laboratory space for the suitable candidate. The ideal candidate will possess an NIH-funded research program in the area of genetics, immunology, vascular biology, and/or metabolism. In addition to a focus on the research mission, the incumbent will be responsible for providing general, non-invasive, cardiovascular services with an emphasis on inpatient and outpatient general cardiology. The candidate will actively participate in the teaching program with cardiology fellows and medical house staff. 

Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent and be board-certified or eligible in cardiovascular medicine. Rank and tenure status will be determined depending upon qualifications.
