International Anesthesiologists Program: Department of Anesthesiology
The International Anesthesiologists' Program will provide advanced clinical experience and academic advancement to talented anesthesiologists who have demonstrated excellence at their home institutions. The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is one of the most successful and innovative anesthesiology programs in the U.S. with a long and rich history of excellence in the multi-faceted missions of collaborative patient care, education, and research. Functioning as faculty members in the department, responsibilities will primarily include the supervision of trainees along with some direct patient care and on-call staffing coverage. They will balance these duties with protected time for academic projects in the areas of education, quality improvement, or clinical or basic science research and will also participate in the department's education programs, including preparation of lectures, clinical conferences, journal clubs, or managing cases in the clinical simulation center.
