Job Description

We are seeking a skilled nurse practitioner or physician assistant/associate to join our team in the trauma surgery department of our Level I Trauma Center. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide services to the acutely injured patient across the care continuum, from the trauma bay to the intensive care unit and floor. Our APPs perform initial assessments of the injured patient, admissions, procedures, education, and discharges, all while working collaboratively with a team of board-certified trauma and critical care surgeons.

The Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is North Virginia’s only Level I Trauma Center, providing tertiary and quaternary care to a diverse geographical area. As an academic medical center, the Trauma Service prides itself in educating physician residents, fellows, and its advanced practice providers to optimally care for acutely injured and critically ill patients. We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and professional growth and development opportunities.

Clinicians care for critically ill patients with traumatic injury, respiratory failure, severe arrhythmias and cardiac arrest, sepsis and septic shock, intracranial hemorrhage, altered mental status, coma, and more. Trauma APPs treat patients in multiple settings and are always available to see acutely injured patients anywhere in the hospital.

We encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity if you are passionate about providing exceptional care in a challenging and dynamic environment.
